EMERALD ISLE  -  Don Thomas Foster, 80, of Emerald Isle, peacefully transitioned to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 24, 2024 at the Landings of Swansboro after several years of suffering from dementia.  A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, December 6, 2024 at The Landings of Swansboro in Swansboro, NC.

Mr. Foster was born December 19, 1943 in Cumberland County, NC son of the late Gerald Matthew Foster, Jr. and Martha Ingram Foster.

He retired from Civil Service as a EMT-Paramedic at Fort Bragg, NC.  He was a graduate of 71st High School and Fayetteville Technical Community College in Fayetteville, NC.  Prior to his illness, he enjoyed gardening, fixing up cars, spending time at his mountain house and fishing the beach.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Gerald Matthew Foster, III.

Survivors include his wife, Pamela Lane Foster; daughters, Barbara Foster Shore of Cedar Point and Angela Foster Sutton (Van) of Emerald Isle, NC; grandchildren, Stephen Shore, Lee Shore (Miranda), Rachel Shore Hoogendorn (Hunter), Joshua Sutton, Melanie Sutton, Robbie Sutton, and Doug Sutton; six greatgrandchildren; and brothers, Mitchell Foster (Shirley) of Fort Walton Beach, FL, Richard Foster (Wanda) of Fayetteville, NC, his sister-in-law, Donna T. Foster (Gerald) of Fayetteville, NC, and his mother-in-law, Charlotte Lane of Swansboro, NC.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, the Dementia Society of America or Hospice.
