Donald James Broussard, 86, of Hubert, NC passed away on July 6, 2025, at Premier Nursing and Rehabilitation.  A funeral service will be held at St. Mildred's Catholic Church at 10:30am Friday, July 11,2025 and Interment of his Ashes will be at the Coastal Carolina State Veteran's Cemetery in Jacksonville alongside his wife at last.

Born November 11, 1938, in Port Arthur, Texas to the late Dudley and Etize Broussard. He graduated from Jefferson High School. He then joined the Marine Corps and met his wife Helen Broussard, and they raised 3 children.  He served in the Marine Corps for 22 ½ years and after retirement worked a couple of public sector jobs before again retiring but this time from Marine Corps Air Station Commissary as a Civil Servant.

Donald was an active member of Saint Mildred's Catholic Church, a 4th Degree Member of the Knights of Columbus, Marine Corp League, Military Order of the Devil Dogs, Fleet Reserves Association, Non-Commissioned Officer Association, Moose Lodge, VFW, American Legion.

He was proceeded in death by his wife Helen and daughter Peggy Broussard, his twin brother Ronald J. Broussard, sisters Cinderella Butaud, Leona Broussard, Emma Lou Smith, along with several in laws, nieces and nephews.

He is survived by his son Donald Broussard (Ken Coats) of Raleigh and daughter Tina Broussard of Hubert, and beloved grandchild, Dani Broussard (Ben Haydel) also of Hubert. Serval nieces, nephews, great nieces, nephews, as well as several sisters in laws and brother-in-law.
