Hubert – Donald Curtis Smith Jr., 64, of Hubert, North Carolina passed away on August 9, 2026, at Novant Health in Wilmington. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Onslow Memorial Park in Jacksonville, NC.

Donald was born on August 20, 1961, in Detroit, Michigan to the late Donald Smith, Sr. and Wilma Hayton Smith. In addition to his parents, he is preceeded in death by his son, Jacob Quinton Smith and siblings, William R. Smith and Lisa E. Forsythe.

He is survived by his loving wife, Blanche Smith; children, Eric Maloney (Stephanie), Emily Cox, and Donald Smith, III (Ally); grandchildren, Layla Cox, Harland Cox, Wyatt Cox, Shelby Cox, and Quinton Cox; sister, Pamela Luna (Mike); his dog, Maggie; and many nieces and nephews.
