JACKSONVILLE - Donald Grey Walton, Sr., of Jacksonville, died Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at Vidant Hospital, Greenville. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 30, 2013 at Jones Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 PM. The family will receive friends after the service. Burial will follow at a later date at Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Connie Walton of the home; sons, Donald G. Walton, Jr. of Jacksonville, Ricky Emanuel Walton of Maple Hill, and Bradley D. Walton of Jacksonville; daughter, Jennifer L. Shepard of Maple Hill; sisters, Peggy Northam, Carolyn Cunningham, and Judy Port; nine grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, Finance Dept., 30 East 33rd St., New York, NY, 10016 or to the American Heart Association, 3219 Landmark St., Greenville, NC 27834.
