JACKSONVILLE  -  Donna Diane Menke, 64, of Jacksonville, passed away Thursday, June 5, 2025.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, June 13, 2025, at Jones Funeral Home, Jacksonville Chapel.  Burial will follow at Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville.

Donna was a selfless mother whose boundless love and generosity touched everyone she met. She dedicated her life to caring for her family and extended her compassion far beyond, always ready to support friends and neighbors in times of need. Whether through a warm meal, a comforting word, or a simple act of kindness, Donna made the world a gentler place. Her home was a sanctuary filled with love- and more than a few Harry Potter books, which she adored and shared with joy. Like the beloved characters she admired, Donna believed in the power of love, friendship, and standing by those you care about. Her legacy of warmth, empathy, and unwavering support will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ron Menke; daughter, Regina Faith Reece; stepdaughter, Anita Jones; brother, Nicholas William Thomas; and her father, William Nicholas Thomas.

She is survived by her son, Jeffrey Wayne Rice; mother, Frances N. Lindsey; grandson, Nicholas Charles Rice; granddaughters, Sydney Rae Becker and Riley Lori Becker; sister, Debra Kriesman; and her brother, Tommy Cochran.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM on Thursday evening, June 12, 2025 at the funeral home.
