Obituary

Douglas Wesley Gardner passed suddenly on September 10, 2022. He was the beloved husband of 30 years to his wife Stacey(Mahan) Gardner. Doug's greatest joys in life were his two sons, Ben and Cam and his granddaughter, Sija Gardner. Doug was always able to find humor in life's twists and turns and related many life events to his favorite tv show, Seinfeld. Moving from MA to NC Doug found a great passion in Recreational Cowboy Shooting. He belonged to SASS, where he made many wonderful friendships.

Doug leaves his wife Stacey, his son Benjamin and his wife, Paige, his son Cam, his adored granddaughter Sija, his sister, Karen Gardner Regan and two sister in laws Nicole Mahan Murphy and Shelby Mahan Gregorich. He also leaves his "favorite children", pups Abby and Grover.

Doug was born in Boston, MA on November 23, 1964 to Wes and Andree Gardner. He grew up in Rhode Island and loved his summers on Cape Cod. He graduated with a degree in finance from Nichols College and moved to Boston where he met Stacey, the love of his life. In their 30+ years together Doug and Stacey loved to travel, especially to the "Little Red Cottage" their favorite spot in Pemaquid Point, Maine.

Doug was also extremely proud of his two sons. His face would light up when he spoke of Ben's career in the Coast Guard or when he spoke with pride about Cam graduation from Elon University.

But his most recent source of joy came when his granddaughter, Sija was born. He loved being with her every chance he got and was so happy to be her "Dumpo".
