Age 79 of Jacksonville, NC

Passed away the morning of June 8th, 2026

He is survived by his daughters:

Susan Bolton (Michael), Kimberly Szuch (Timothy) and Sybil Ashby (Brad)

Douglas was also survived by his two loving sisters, Joyce Baker (Charlie) and Diane Martin (Ken) also his nephew Matthew Martin (Kelly) and his great niece Amelia Martin.

Douglas was the proud grandfather to 8 grandchildren, James Stanley, Andrew Stanley, Kristi Espinoza (Jason), Devin Maddry, Casey Maddry, Austin Ferrier, Dalton Ferrier, Ashlee Ashby and one great Grandchild Jaxxon Espinoza.

Douglas enjoyed collecting antiques, attending flea markets and spending time with his family and his cats.

Visitation will be on July 7th from 6pm to 8pm at Jones Funeral Home. The Funeral will be at the Veterans Cemetery on July 8th at 2:00 Pm. Flowers and Donations Are Welcome, please make donations to: Onslow County Animal Services at 244 Georgetown Road, Jacksonville, NC 28540 or call 910-455-0182.
