Swansboro- Douglas Bryan Watson, 71, passed away Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at Carolina East Medical Center.  He was born September 28, 1951 in Swansboro, NC a son of the late Jesse James and Mamie Grace Littleton Watson.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, April 1, 2023 at 2:00pm at Living Waters Church of God of Prophecy with Revs. Jonathan Davidson and Junior Brinson officiating.  Burial will follow at Papa's Place Cemetery in Swansboro.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

Doug was a painter at Cherry Point and also self employed and when he wasn't holding a paint brush, he loved to spend time fishing and enjoying his family and friends.

He is survived by wife, Sandra Duncan Watson of the home; son, Douglas Bryan Watson, Jr. (Amy Jean) of Swansboro; daughter, Krystal Davidson (Rev. Jonathan) of Lovelady, TX; grandchildren, Cory Dylan Watson, Trevor Dalton Watson, Haley Christine Davidson, Hunter Lane Davidson, and Hayes Douglas Davidson; and sisters, Elizabeth Griffin of Stella and Karen Morris of Hubert.
