Douglas "Doug" Edward Wiles, 75, passed away peacefully on July 18, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 24, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Jones Funeral Home, Jacksonville. Burial will follow at Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery.

A devoted husband, brother, father, friend, and patriot, Doug lived a life marked by service, strength, and a deep love for his family and community.

Born on June 13, 1950, Doug proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps before continuing his life of service as a volunteer firefighter. He never hesitated to help a neighbor, lend a hand, or share a laugh.

Doug was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Beth Wiles; his parents; and his sister, Debbie Wiles. Though his loss is deeply felt, his memory lives-on in the hearts of his many family members and friends.

He found joy in simple things like fishing on a quiet morning, swapping stories with old friends, and spending time with those he held dear. His life was a testament to quiet strength and goodness, and those who knew him will carry his legacy of love, loyalty, and service forward.

He was a good man, and he will be deeply missed.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Jones Funeral Home, Jacksonville.
