Edward G. Bailey, 85, of Jacksonville, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on April 18, 2026.

Edward was a devoted father, grandfather, and respected criminal defense attorney who dedicated his life to serving others through the law. A 1965 Graduate of Wake Forest Law School, he built a long and meaningful career advocating for his clients with intelligence, integrity, and compassion.

He was a man of strong character and quiet strength, known for his sharp mind, steady presence, and deep love for his family.

Edward is survived by his children, James, Tiffany, Rachel, and Sarah, and his cherished grandchildren, Savannah, Carter, Michael, and Jordyn. His brother, Artie and wife, Ginny Bailey and nephews, Darren and Jerry Bailey and nieces Donna Horne, Karen Ketchum and Jan Bailey. He leaves behind a legacy of dedication, resilience, and love that will continue to live on through them.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

At his request, a private service will be held with immediate family.
