Elizabeth Horne, 78, passed away on Tuesday, September 29, 2026. A funeral mass will take place on Thursday, October 15th at 11:00 AM, at the Infant of Prague Catholic Church.

Mrs. Horne was born in Waterbury, Connecticut on November 30, 1947, to her parents Raymond LaCourse and Marie Bruno. Elizabeth earned a bachelor’s degree at UNC Pembroke. Mrs. Horne spent most of her career working as a youth social worker.

Mrs. Horne is preceded in death by her husband Jim Horne and one brother Raymond LaCourse.

Elizabeth is survived by her sister Barbara Venters (Huck) of Cedar Point.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial may be made to the YMCA of Jacksonville.
