Hubert – Erica Renee LeMaire, 50, passed away on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at Novant Health in Wilmington, North Carolina. She was born on December 5, 1975, in Long Beach, California, to the late William McMackin and Kathryn LeMaire.

A celebration of Erica’s life will be held on Saturday, December 5, 2026. The location and time will be announced at a later date.

Erica was a dedicated manager with EJ Pope convenience stores, where she took pride in helping her customers and building relationships with those she encountered.

Above all, Erica cherished her family and friends. One of her greatest joys in life was spending time with her beloved granddaughter, Oaklynn, who held an incredibly special place in her heart. The moments they shared brought her endless happiness, and her love for her family was evident in everything she did.

She is survived by her daughter, Hailey LeMaire of Wilmington; mother, Kathryn Sathoff of the home; granddaughter, Oaklynn; and siblings, Sarah McMackin of Virginia, Britt Sathoff, Jr. of North Carolina, and Melissa Poole of California.

She was preceded in death by her biological father, William McMackin; stepfather, Britt Wayne Sathoff, Sr.; and grandparents, Jean Ewell LeMaire and Mary Jane LeMaire.
