JACKSONVILLE. -  Early on Sunday morning, June 2, 2024, surrounded by his family, Ervin R. Parker, 84, of Jacksonville North Carolina went to his Heavenly Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday at Jones Funeral Home, Jacksonville Chapel.

Mr. Parker owned and operated many businesses: Parker's Brake and Alignment which opened in 1980, Parker's Trucking, and Parkers used cars. He was co-owner of Jacksonville Paving company. In his younger days he was the President of the Sea Ray Boat Club and was the best barefoot skier ever. He even raced cars in his younger days.

Mr. Parker was born on October 2,1939, in Onslow County NC to the late Lewis C. Parker and Lula Parker. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Lewis W Parker (Buddy).

He is survived by his wife, Jackie of almost 24 years; two children, Christina and Michael; eleven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild; his mother, Lula Parker of Sneads Ferry; brother, Jerry of Jacksonville; and many extended families and friends.

The family will receive friends Friday, prior to the service, from 12 till 2  PM at the funeral home.
