JACKSONVILLE  -  Ethel Sarah Gainey Siler, 85,of Jacksonville, passed away peacefully Friday, January 9, 2026 at Onslow Memorial Hospital, surrounded by her family.  Services will be held by her family at a later date.

Ms. Ethel was a baker and retired from Dunkin Donuts.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Theodore and Zola Banks Gainey.

Survivors include her sons, William Siler (Carolyn) of Newport, Ted Siler (Cathy) of Holly Ridge and James Siler of Bethel Park, PA; her sister, Betty Williams of Holly Hill, FL; her grandchildren, Tiffany Castellani (Tom) of Ft. Collins, CO, Nicole Oneal (Sam) of Newport, Regina McCarty (Tom) of Jacksonville, Brea Frost (Jared) of Klamath Falls, OR, Jaisa Siler-Webb (Matt) of Jacksonville and  Kimberly Juno of Havelock; and twenty great-grandchildren.
