Jacksonville — Frances Carolyn Parker, 82, passed away peacefully in her home on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, with loved ones by her side.

Funeral services will be held Friday, July 17, 2026, at 10:00 AM at Jones Funeral Home, Jacksonville Chapel. Burial will immediately follow at Onslow Memorial Park.

Frances was born on January 30, 1944, in Onslow County to the late Ruby and Hammie Morton.

Frances enjoyed spending time in her garden, especially growing vegetables. She was skilled at canning what she grew and used it to feed and care for those she loved.

Above all else, Frances loved her family. Her home was a cherished gathering place for Sunday family dinners and holidays, and she never missed an opportunity to spend time with those she loved. She held a special place in her heart for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” Parker, and her brother, Ronnie Morton.

She leaves behind her daughters, Sandra Cauley and Theresa Latham; grandchildren, Austin Latham, Parker Cauley, and Raven Cauley; great-grandchildren, Gracelynn Latham, Carlie Latham, Dean Cauley, and Grayson Ambrose; and siblings, Buddie Morton, Robert Morton, and Agnes Morton.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service from 9:00 to 10:00 AM.
