JACKSONVILLE  -  George Coleman Davis, 91, a devoted farmer of tobacco, beans and corn passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, March 1, 2026.  To honor his life, there will be a mausoleum service on Thursday, March 5, 2026, at 3:00 PM at Onslow Memorial Park officiated by Reverend Damon Williamson.

George was preceded in death by his parents, Grover Cleveland Davis and Mary Gillette Davis; brothers, Leslie Davis and Grover "Buck" Davis; sisters, Mary Osman, Bernice Blakemore, Mabel Watts and Josephine Crews

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Carolyn Howard Davis; two daughters, Kim Farris (Chris) of Jacksonville and Tracy Phillips (Michael) of Jacksonville; his three sisters, Linnie Dawsey of Salemburg, Priscilla Watson of Beulaville and Vivian Jarman of Jacksonville; and five grandchildren,  Coleman (Taylor), Blake (Caroline), Isabella (Paul), Leland and Daniel.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to the Family Life Center at Bethlehem Baptist Church 4764 Gum Branch Road Jacksonville, NC 28540.
