JACKSONVILLE  -  George Harry Mason, II, 67, of Jacksonville, passed away Thursday, November 21, 2024 at Carolina East Medical Center. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, November 30, 2024 at Brookwood Baptist Church, 903 Henderson Drive, Jacksonville, NC. A graveside service with full military honors will be held on Tuesday, February 25, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Arlington National Cemetery.

Mr. Mason was born on October 24, 1957, in Camden, New Jersey, to the late George H. Mason, Sr., and Dorothy Ann Downs Mason. A devoted Marine who served his country honorably for 31 years, Mr. Mason deeply cherished his faith, his family, and spending time on the water. He was an avid fisherman and an active member of his church, finding great joy in spending time with loved ones and nurturing his faith in Jesus.

He is survived by his loving wife, Donna Mason (nee Rickerd); daughters, Bethany Ann Mitchell (Jordan) of League City, TX and Stephanie Lynn Mason of Greenville, NC; brother, William Mason (Patricia) of Sicklerville, NJ; grandson, James Mitchell of League City, TX and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The family will receive friends at Jones Funeral Home, Jacksonville on Friday, November 29, 2024 from 4:00 to 6:00 PM.
