Georgia Anne
Frazelle
February 22, 1949 – June 9, 2025
JACKSONVILLE - Our beloved mom, Georgia Anne Rosser Frazelle, of Jacksonville, NC, passed away peacefully at her home the morning of June 9th, 2025. The family will have a visitation on Friday, June 13th, from 11:00-12:00pm at Jones Funeral Home in Jacksonville, followed by a graveside service at 1pm at Onslow Memorial Park Cemetery. A reception following the service will be held for family and friends at Duck's Grill and Bar from 2:00 until 3:30 PM.
Georgia was a widow to Allan Frazelle, Sr (41 beautiful years together); daughter to William Rosser, Jr and Bettye Wisdom; sister to Corinne Ehn and Bill Rosser III. She is survived by her sister, Constance Rosser of Beaufort, NC; daughter Sherri Frazelle Basnight and her son, Josh Basnight, both of Wilmington, NC; son, William Frazelle of Jacksonville; and son, Allan Frazelle, Jr., his wife, Donna Frazelle, and their daughter Emma Frazelle of Hampstead, NC.
Georgia was born in Kern County, CA, and then grew roots in Jacksonville when her father was stationed there. Upon graduating high school, Georgia began her career in the banking industry working in many local branches around the region.
Over the years, Georgia developed a love for the beach, especially Topsail Island. You could often find her taking long walks with family or friends, with her very keen eye spotting and collecting shark teeth or relaxing in her beach lounger reading a good book. Her love of the beach brought on a love for being on the water as well. Many weekends were spent cruising on the boat or water skiing up and down the New River. Her appetite for saltwater led to being known to clean out and eat a blue crab faster than many, and her homemade cocktail sauce would bring tears to your eyes.
She also had an incredible love for animals, especially dogs and cats. From Fritzy and Taffy, Scooter, Benji and Laddie to name a few, as well as a few strays, they were all just as much a part of the family as her husband or children.
We are going to miss Georgia's generous and loving heart most of all. She always had a will to help anyone in need and drop whatever she was doing to help serve. She loved to laugh, soak up the sunshine, shop till she dropped, enjoy a good book, and later in life, going to Nascar races to cheer on her favorite driver, Dale Jr.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a memorial to the Dementia Society of America ( www.dementiasociety.org ).
