Geraldine Joyce Hoople, age 93, peacefully entered the kingdom of her Lord in her sleep on April 23, 2026, at her son's home in Jacksonville, North Carolina.

Geraldine was born on April 21, 1933, in Saint Paul, Minnesota, to the late Orlin and Rose Stiff. Affectionately known as "Geri," she retired from the Pope & Talbot paper mill in Eau Claire, WI. She was widely admired for her exceptional talent as a creative seamstress, crafting dresses and matching shirts worn by countless couples at polka dances throughout northwestern Wisconsin and beyond. Geri was also an accomplished dancer who embraced life with remarkable energy and independence.

She is lovingly survived by her daughter, Deborah Karker (Pat Sr.); her son, Mark Anderson; and her grandchildren, Patrick Karker Jr. (Marni), Melissa Karker Schwartz (Matt), Angela Karker-Rudahl (Eric), Dr. Stacy Martin (Michael), Scott Anderson (Kori), Kaitlin Hollister, Alexander Hollister (Sarah), and Isabella Hollister (Zach). She also leaves behind her great-grandchildren, Emma Karker, Ethan Schwartz (Jostyn), Hailey Schwartz, Emmett Schwartz, Harley Martin, Payton Nelson, Rylee Demaio (Gregg), and Baylee Anderson; as well as her great-great-grandchildren, Braxton and Spencer Demaio.

Geri was preceded in death by her longtime and beloved dog, Doobie; her sons, Pete and Michael Anderson of Eau Claire; and her youngest daughter, Kellie Hollister (Rick) of Elk Mound.

A memorial service, followed by lunch, will be held on June 20, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Maranatha Evangelical Free Church, 3340 S. Main St., Rice Lake, Wisconsin 54868.
