Jacksonville – Geza Steven Sarkozy, 79, of Jacksonville, North Carolina passed away on May 30, 2026, at Novant Health in Wilmington. Private services at Rochelle Family Cemetery will be held at a later date.

Geza was born on December 25, 1946, in Budapest, Hungary, to the late Geza Istvan Sarkozy and Irene Sarkozy. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Elizabeth Sarkozy and sister, Katie Cantone.

Geza served in the United States Marine Corps as a Helicopter Pilot. After his military career, he worked for Bristow Helicopter as a Helicopter Pilot.

He is survived by his children, Steve Sarkozy (Katie), Tony Simonetti (Dana), and Debra Sarkozy; grandchildren, Nick Simonetti, Kirsten Sarkozy, Natalie Sarkozy, and Tristan Torrico; sister, Maria Decsy; and extended family members and friends.
