JACKSONVILLE  -  Ghazi Chehade Azoury, 61, of Jacksonville, passed away Monday,  November 4, 2024.  A private Burial at Sea will honor Ghazi, reflecting his love for the ocean and his wish for a peaceful rest and return home.

Born March 25, 1963, Ghazi was a spirited and resilient man known for his kindness and generosity. He was a devoted father.

Ghazi owned and operated several successful businesses throughout his life, ranging from convenience stores to restaurants. He also had a passion for salvaging cars. His entrepreneurial spirit was admired by many and will be remembered as a significant part of his legacy.

He was a faithful attendee of St. Anthony Marionte Church in Lawrence, Massachusetts, where he found great solace and religion.

A lover of the outdoors and warmer weather, Ghazi was an avid fisherman, an 80's rock fan and a fervent supporter of the New England Patriots and the Boston Red Sox. He cherished the time spent with his children and grandchildren, often visiting them or enjoying time with his old beach friends.

He is survived by his previous wife of many years, Luisa Oliveira; his children, Christopher Azoury and his wife Goldie, Kelly Knowles and her husband Asa V, and Victoria Azoury; his sister, Yolla Khalife; and his grandchildren, Lloyd James, Christopher, Anthony, Asa VI, and Beckman. He was preceded in death by his parents, Chahade and Jalili Azouri.

Ghazi Azoury's life was marked by his warmth and resilience. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
