Jacksonville – Glenna Jean Youngkin, 78, of Jacksonville, North Carolina passed away on July 13, 2026, at her residence. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Granite City, IL. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Irwin Chapel Funeral Home in Granite City, IL.

Glenna has been a resident of Jacksonville, NC for the last 8 years. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed reading, gardening, and quilting. She was a devoted member of Infant of Prague Catholic Church.

She was born on February 24, 1948, and went to be with the Lord on Monday, July 13, 2026.

Glenna was born in Wyoming, but grew up in Granite City, Illinois, and lived there most of her life. She was a government employee in downtown St. Louis for many years, until she moved to Cape Girardeau and began working in retail after that.

She leaves behind her husband, daughter, stepchildren, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Finally, Glenna leaves behind brothers, a sister, and several nieces and nephews.
