SNEADS FERRY - Harry Vincent Hough, 78, of Sneads Ferry, died Tuesday, September 21, 2010 at his home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Friday at Infant of Prague Catholic Church with Rev. Anthony V. DeCandia officiating. There will be a private interment at a later date in Connellsville, PA.
Mr. Hough was born in Connellsville, Pennsylvania on 9 June 1932, a son of the late Harry H. Hough and Mary Cecilia O'Hara and brother to the late Cece Guie. He is survived by his wife, Zoe Godfrey Hough; sons, James V. Hough of Sneads Ferry, Col David K. Hough, USMC and his wife, Jennifer of Lexington, VA, Dr. Robert Lee Hough, PhD and his wife, Nancy of Denver, CO; daughter, Dr. Barbara Lea Davies, MD of Savannah, GA. Also surviving are his brother, David J. Hough; sister, Judy Sherwood and her husband, Isaac all of Connellsville, PA and his grandchildren, Stephanie, Megan, Gunnar and Spencer Hough.
Mr. Hough served in the U.S. Army for two years as a military policeman and six years in the reserve. He worked for 25 years for West Penn Power Co., first as a lineman and later as a sales representative. He was a life member of the American Legion and the National Rifle Association. He was also a Mason and just received his fifty year pin this past year.
There will be a reception immediately following Mass in the Parish Hall.
