Harry Lewis Wetzel, Jr. passed away Monday, February 24, 2025, at his home. A graveside burial will take place at 10:00 AM on Thursday, March 6, 2025, at Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery.
Harry was born in Washington D.C. on February 7, 1965, to Harry Lewis Wetzel Sr. and Gail Levesque. He was a graduate of Apponequet Regional High School in Lakeville Massachusetts and a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, entering into service August 01, 1983, and serving faithfully until honorable release as a staff sergeant, January 15, 1996. Harry was employed by Quality Roofers and Guttering, Inc. in downtown Jacksonville for 26 years where he was an architectural sheet metal mechanic with amazing abilities in mathematics and fabrication. Harry enjoyed attending Comic-Con events around the United States and could always be found Cosplaying as Master Roshi of the Dragon Ball series.
Harry also found passion in participating in the Beaufort Pirate Invasion and frequenting the local card and game shops. Harry was a kind and caring person that navigated the world with a unique character which will always be remembered. Harry is survived by his dear mother, Gail Levesque of Lakeville, Massachusetts; sister, Deborah Hilla; four nephews, Nicholas, Tyler, Jonathan, and Austin; girlfriend, Diane Shultz; best friend, Thomas J. Volpi; and an extended work family who will miss him dearly.
