Horace Bryant Thompson, 79, passed away February 7, 2013 at Onslow Memorial Hospital, Jacksonville, NC

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Monday, February 11, 2013 at First Christian Church, 124 Trott Road, Richlands, NC with Revs Dr. Gary Edens, Eddie Phenix, and Foy Houston officiating. Burial will follow at Onslow Memorial Park, Jacksonville, NC.

Mr. Thompson was predeceased by his wife of 55 years, Avis Whaley Thompson; his parents, John William and Louise Trott Thompson; his siblings and spouses, George and Maria Thompson, Sybil and Oscar Dooly, Ora Lee and Posie Houston, Ophelia and Braxton Howard, and Peggy North Thompson, Gilbert and Christine Thompson.

He is survived by his daughter Janet Thompson Bryan and husband, Stanley, of Richlands. Grandchildren, Bryant Thomas Britt and wife, Chandra,
Kathyrn Britt Marshburn and husband, Matthew, Richard David Britt and girlfriend, Ashley Bryan; Jason Bryan and wife, Jennifer, Courtney Bryan Weimer and husband, Eric, Jason Pieratt and wife, Kathy. Great grandchildren, Mackenzie and Lauren Britt, Riley and Reagan Davis, Hunter and Cameron Bryan, Kaya and Maia Weimer, and Amelia, Everett, and Elias Pieratt. Brother, Virgil Thompson.

The family will receive friends Sunday evening, February 10, 2013 from 5:00-7:00 pm at First Christian Church.
