Hubert "Earl" Jones, also known by many as "Cowboy Earl", passed away on Monday, May 26, surrounded by close family. Visitation will be on Saturday, May 31st from 3 pm - 5 pm with the funeral following at 5 pm at Jones Funeral Home in Jacksonville, NC.  The graveside services will be Sunday, June 1st at 3pm at the Fowler Manning Cemetery near 314 Fowler Manning Road, Richlands, NC.

He left a legacy of commitment to Faith and Family. Earl was founder and proprietor of the Earl Jones Music School, established 1975, entertained thousands of music fans as his character Cowboy Earl, pastored churches sharing the Word, and made beautiful memories with his wife, children, and grandchildren. His dynamic personality has influenced many and though we know we will see him again, his presence will be missed for a long time to come.

Earl is survived by his wife, Kathy Manning Jones, of 50 years, sons Jimmy, Tony (Mallory), John (April), Tyler (Tessa), grandchildren (Victoria, Bryleigh, Mason, Reece, Sawyer, Beckham, & Atley) and one great grandson, Axel.  Earl also leaves behind brothers Randy (Diana) and Terry (Ayca), sister-in-law, Wanda Jones, and numerous nieces and nephews.
