James David DeVinney II, 41 of Jacksonville, passed away on December 9, 2025 at his home.

James dearly loved and adored his daughter Lina. He had a passion for the Buffalo Bills and was sure to never miss a game. James served in the United States Air Force with the Security Forces for four years and graduated from Mount Olive College with a degree in Criminal Justice.

He is survived by his daughter who is his pride and joy, Adelina DeVinney (mother and former wife Melissa Salas); his father and step-mother, Jimmy & Sheri DeVinney; his mother and step-father, Donna & Dennis Comstock; his sister, Holly VanDuzer (nieces Lucy and Autumn); his step-brothers, Jason Martin and Chris Martin (nephews Cayden and Jayce); and Many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and extended family.

He was loved by many and liked by all.

A private family ceremony will be held on Saturday.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made Lina's college fund.
