JACKSONVILLE  -  James L. Jimmy was the second born child to parents James and Blanche Anderson on Dec. 23, 1942 in Wilkesboro, NC where he grew up and graduated from Wilkes High School.  After High School he went in to the miltary where he served in the Army stationed in Germany.  Along the way he developed his life skills and love of the game of golf which led him to become a member of the Professional Golfers Association in 1966.  He met his wife Sena "Carol" Anderson, whom he married in 1988, here in Jacksonville, NC.  They spent their many years together enjoying the game of golf, socializing with their numerous friends and having as much fun as life would allow.  He also developed a love of flying and did maintain his private pilot's license until recent years.

He retired from Jacksonville Country Club where he was the head golf pro from 1975 to 2000.   He remained retired for about 2 weeks before he opened Anderson's Repair Service where he repaired and refurbished maintenance equipment right up until his death.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Kenneth, Tally and Roger Anderson; as well as his stepson, Randy Falgout.

Survivors include his wife Carol; sister, Vera Smithey; brother, Tommy Anderson, his son, Rick Anderson and his wife, Kellie, their two children, Rilie (16) and Carson (14).  He is also survived by his daughter, Donna Anderson with her partner, Stewart Pippin and their child, Ashtin (8).  His step-children include Roy Falgout, Angie Russ and her husband, Jay, Richard Falgout and his wife, Debbie along with eight step-grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
