Hubert- James Walker LaCroix, 70, passed away Wednesday, March 26,2025 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center. He was born February 5,1955 in Onslow County a son of the late Mitchell Neal LaCroix and Zelma Guthrie LaCroix Shipp.

A celebration of Life will be held Saturday, April 5,2025 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Jones Funeral Home-Swansboro with Rev. H. C. Hardesty officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

James worked for 29 years with Bogue Banks Water Corp and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by granddaughter, Aubrie LaCroix of the home; grandson, Lane LaCroix of the home; siblings, David LaCroix of Newport, Gail LaCroix of Myrtle Beach, Jody LaCroix of Myrtle Beach, and half-brother, Dusty Rhodes of Charlotte.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Michael LaCroix; and sons, Joshua Walker LaCroix and Jamie "Bubba" LaCroix.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
