James “Rat” Lloyd Davis, Sr. 67 went home to be with his Lord on Monday, July 13, 2026, at Duke University Medical Center. 

James was preceded in death by his parents; France Davis and Christine Davis, son; James Davis, Jr, daughter: Samantha Davis, and his brother; Ken Davis.

A celebration of life will be on Sunday, July 19, 2026, at 3:00 pm. The family will receive visitors from 2:00-2:50 p.m. at Christian Community Church in Richlands. Officiating the service is Pastor Anthony Davis and Pastor Craig Autry. Burial will follow at the Davis Family Cemetery in Richlands.

Survivors include his wife of 44 years; Sandra Davis of the home, son; Daniel Davis (Angie) of Fayetteville, two grandsons; Isaiah Abbott and Joshua Davis, granddaughter, Cami sisters; Rudeen Butler (Randy), Regina Butler (Kenny) both of Richlands and brothers; Anthony Davis (Kim) and Clint Davis all of Richlands; and not to be forgotten, his furbabies, Olivia and Maggie.
