HUBERT  -  James Edwin Shaw, 63, of Hubert, passed away  Monday, November 18,2024 at his home.  A Celebration of Life, with military honors, will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, November 23,2024 at Jones Funeral Home, Swansboro Chapel.

Mr. Shaw was born December 6,1960 in Everette, MA to late Donald and Frances Cronin Shaw.  He faithfully served his country in the United States Marine Corps and retired as Gunnery Sergeant. He loved spending time with his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Shaw.

Survivors include his wife of over 40 years, Mila Longnilla Shaw of the home; children, Jennifer Shaw of Fort Lauderdale, Fl, James A. Shaw of Marietta, OH, and Jessica Marquard and her husband, Nicholas of Clarksville, TN; grandchildren, Everett James and Bodin Philip (Bodi) Marquard of Clarksville, TN; and siblings, Daniel Shaw, Christopher Shaw, Linda Bergeron, Kathy Pixley, Amy Mabrouk, and Ellen Shaw, all of New Hampshire.

The family will receive friends Saturday afternoon, prior to the service, beginning at 1:00 PM at the funeral home.
