Jacksonville- James Monroe Tyndall, 83, passed away at his home on Wednesday, November 26,2025 with his family by his side. He was born February 18,1942, in Lenoir County, NC, son of the late Leslie James and Alma Doris Howard Tyndall.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, December 2,2025 at 2:00pm at Tar Landing Baptist Church with Revs. Jack Marshburn and Robert Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Onslow Memorial Park in Jacksonville. The family will receive friends Monday, December 1,2025, from 6-8pm at Jones Funeral Home-Jacksonville.

James was a loving son, brother, husband and father who enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Carol Strange Tyndall of the home; son, Danny Monroe Tyndall (Edie) of Jacksonville; siblings, Dennis Tyndall (Vivian) of Jacksonville, FL and Marilyn Tully (Paul) of Jacksonville.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Louis Howard Tyndall.
