Jane Marden Miller Smith, 69, of Jacksonville, NC passed away peacefully on March 1,
2026, at her home with her husband by her side. Jane was born December 26, 1956, in
Baltimore, MD.

She is preceded by her mother, Betty Fowler Miller. She is survived by her husband of
31 years, James Smith, her father, William Leroy Miller, her children, Steven Smith of
New Orleans, David Smith (Stacey) of Swansboro and Anthony Smith of Hubert, her
brother Mark Miller (Karen) of Parkville, MD, her sister Janet Cavanagh (Brian) of Avon,
CT and 8 grandchildren.

Jane's natural talent and love for interior design and décor was her passion followed by
her great love of music and dance. Her commitment to her church and her love for God
was her compass and source of inspiration. She loved sharing scriptural wisdom and
guidance with her family, friends and complete strangers. Her grace, courage, strength
and resilience will always be admired and remembered. Her spirit will live on in our
hearts forever.

Family services will be held at a later date.
