JACKSONVILLE  -  Jason G. Morton, 51, of Jacksonville, died Tuesday, October 24, 2023 at Duke Medical Center in Durham.  Funeral services will be held on Monday, Oct. 30th at 2:00 PM at Jones Funeral Home, Jacksonville Chapel with Pastor Jamie Silance officiating. Burial will follow at Onslow Memorial Park.

Jason graduated from Jacksonville High School, class of 1990, and went on to graduate from Mount Olive College as well. He was a real estate entrepreneur and will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.

Jason was preceded in death by his mother, Peggy Gentry Morton and is survived by his father, Bobby R. Morton; brother, Ray Morton and his wife, Samantha; sister, Becky Morton; niece, Amelia; nephew, Joshua and his caregiver, Stephanie Hayes.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Monday, beginning at 1:00 PM.
