Jean Ellie McCullum, 71 passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at New Hanover Medical Center in Wilmington.  Preceded in death by her parents, Lillie Rose Parker and Harold Tyler. Jean retired as a Licensed Therapist in Mental Health, with private practices in New Bern and Jacksonville North Carolina.

Survivors include her husband of 38 years; John Earl McCullum, son; Jonathan McCullum of the home.  Her daughter; Joy McCullum and grandson; Jaden Clark of Jacksonville.  Sisters; Ouida Tyler of College Park, Ga. and Trudi LaRue Howard (Marvette) of Elgin, Il.  Aunt Bertha Furcron (Frank) of Atlanta, Ga., Cousins; Loretta Brown of College Park, Ga. and Darlene Kelley (Jonathan) of Atlanta, Ga. As well as a host of other cousins, nieces, and nephews all of whom she loved so dearly.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2025 from Abundant Life International Baptist Cathedral with Apostle A.G. Mullen officiating.

The Family will receive friends one hour prior to service.
