JACKSONVILLE - Jeffrey Eugene Fisher, Jacksonville, North Carolina, passed away peacefully in his sleep Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at the age of 60. 

Graveside funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Monday, September 28, 2026 at the Wells Family Cemetery, Holly Ridge, North Carolina with Rev. Preston Wells, officiating.

 Jeffrey was born in Jacksonville, North Carolina on January 5,1966. He was preceded in death by his father, Morris Dayton Fisher and his mother, Melvina W. Fisher. He is survived by his brother, Kenneth Morris Fisher of Chattanooga, TN; his nephew, Timothy Morris Fisher of Rocky Point, NC; his niece, Jennifer Fisher Hunter; and his great-nephew, Robert “Bobby” Hunter, both of Holly Ridge, NC. 

Jeffrey worked with the Onslow County Schools as a technician with the Instructional Technology Division. He absolutely loved his job. He complained every day in the best possible way about something that gave him the greatest delight. And that something was to hear one of his teachers say, “Jeffrey, I need you. My computer is broken.” He adored his supervisor, Penny. As well, he carried a weekend job at Food Lion on South 17. He loved his huge extended family of Food Lion customers. He was loyal to a fault to them and to his manager, Marty. 

He was a graduate of The Art Institute of Atlanta. Jeffrey was a tender spirit who simply sought affirmation and acceptance from those he loved. He was wonderfully talented and creative. His passing too soon leaves within us a great void.
