Jeffrey Alan Palmer, 75, passed away at his home in Sneads Ferry, North Carolina, on Thursday, August 13th, 2026. He is survived by his wife, Marie Ellen (Schneller) Palmer, and two daughters, Jillian Victoria (Palmer) Giangaspro, and Zoe Elana Palmer. He also leaves behind his brother and sister-in-law, Neil and Feli Palmer, a nephew, Neil Palmer Jr., two step-daughters, Lisa Anne Lemoine and Kristine Leigh King, his son-in-law, James Louis Giangaspro and two grandchildren, Palmer Madeline and Penelope Rae Giangaspro; the two littlest loves of his life.
Jeff was born in Holden, Massachusetts on October 25th, 1950, to Charlotte and Francis Palmer. He married his wife, Marie, in 1984, and they lived in Charlton, MA, working and raising their family for 30 years before moving to their dream home in North Carolina in 2013. Jeff graduated from Burncoat Senior Highschool in Worcester, MA on June 10th, 1968. He then went on to obtain his associate’s degree in accounting from Quinsigamond Community College. Jeff worked in Sales and spent much of his career running his own business, The OakRidge Marketing Group. In 2001, he joined Magnisight, a company that sold equipment for the visually impaired. Helping individuals with macular degeneration became his passion, and Jeff went on to have an extremely successful and meaningful career until his retirement in 2013.
Jeff loved the ocean, the stock market, playing golf, building things in his workshop and most of all, being a Daddy and Papa. He was funny, loving, stubborn and incredibly generous. He stood by Marie’s side through three bouts of cancer, stating he wasn’t “going anywhere until mom is better”. Marie underwent a successful stem-cell transplant in January, 2026, and they spent their last few months together “getting back to normal”. He was a rock to many and will be deeply missed.
On the morning of Jeff and Marie’s wedding anniversary, Tuesday, September 1st, family and close friends will gather on the beach for a private celebration of life. All are then welcome to join the family at 2pm that afternoon for “a beer with a two-finger head” at Topsail Island Brewing (514 Petes Wy, Sneads Ferry, NC). If you feel so inclined, please wear what Jeff would wear; a white tee shirt and jeans.
