Holly Ridge – Jerry Lanier Moore, Sr., 83, of Holly Ridge, North Carolina passed away on October 8, 2026, at his residence. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, at 10:30 AM at Victory Baptist Church. Burial with military honors will immediately follow at Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery.

Mr. Moore was born on January 5, 1943, in Crisp, Georgia to the late Hewitt Robert Moore and Pauline Gordan Moore. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Margie Owens and brothers, Robert Moore, Jimmy Moore, and James Moore.

Jerry lived in Germany, Belgium, and visited many other countries. He was a family man and nothing made him happier than spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Joann Moore; children, Margie Peralta (Tony) and Jerry Moore, Jr.; grandchildren, Steven Lanier and Daniel Lee Moore; and extended family and friends.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Jones Funeral Home, Holly Ridge.
