Jimmie was born December 21st, 1942, to the late Grace and Harold Sawyer.

In life Jimmie had a lifelong career working in the postal service.

He is proceeded in death by his brother, Rodney Sawyer, and his sister-in-law, Delores Sawyer.

He leaves behind his children; Jennifer Teachey (Doug), Jimmie Sawyer Jr. (Donna), John Sawyer, sibling; Linda Morrow (Ronnie), grandchildren; Ivey Marshburn, Brett Hill, Christopher Hill, great grandchildren Brooks Marshburn, Piper Marshburn, and many loving nieces and nephews.
