Jacksonville – Joan LaMonica Yantorn, 84, passed away on Sunday, May 10, 2026 at the Crystal Coast Hospice House. Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 15, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Jones Funeral Home, Jacksonville. Burial will follow at Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery.

Joan was preceded in death by her loving husband of over 50 years, Jim Yantorn; parents, Jack and Carmela LaMonica; and daughter, Carolyn Yantorn. She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Maready (Greg) of Cape Carteret; Grandchildren, Kaitlyn Wilbourne (Joseph) of Kernersville, NC and Devan Maready of Cape Carteret; great-grandchild, Charlotte of Kernersville, NC; and brother, Joe LaMonica of Staten Island, NY.

Flowers are welcome or donations may be made in Joan’s memory to the Crystal Coast Hospice House.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00 to 11:00 AM.
