Joe Frank Redd Jr.

Joe Frank Redd Jr., lovingly known as "Frankie," passed away peacefully on May 3, 2026, at the age of 72. Born on October 24, 1953, in Jacksonville, North Carolina, Frank was the beloved son of Joe Frank Redd Sr. and Fern Redd.

Frank was a devoted husband, family man, and friend whose kind heart and gentle spirit touched everyone who knew him. He was known for his intelligence, loving nature, and deep devotion to his family. He especially enjoyed fishing, spending time with loved ones, and creating lasting memories with his family.

Frank shared 18 wonderful years with the love of his life, his wife, Rosetta Redd. Together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished family memories.

He is survived by his loving wife, Rosetta Redd; his surviving grandchildren, Jacob and Summer Mizysak; and his great-grandchildren, Elijah and Mekena Mizysak; Malachi, Judah, and Olivia Mizysak; Cayla and Josh Behrens; and Cami and Kody Davis. He was also blessed with great-great-grandchildren, Olive and Henry Davis, who brought him great joy.

Frank is also survived by his sisters, Necia Davis and husband Buddy; Retha Glass and husband Dan Glass; and sister Judy and husband Phillip (deceased). He also leaves behind many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will miss him deeply.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Joanna, who passed away at a very young age.

Frank will be remembered for his loving heart, quiet strength, wisdom, and unwavering devotion to those he loved. His warmth, kindness, and presence will forever remain in the hearts of his family and friends.

A celebration of life for family and friends will be held at a later date.
