John Nuttall, aged 69, passed away on Monday, August 31, 2026 at Novant Health New Hanover Regional Medical Center. A celebration of his life will be held in private with his family.

John was born in England and moved to the States when he was twenty-three, where he married his wife, Linda. They built a life in South Florida, working as a General Manager for Sportservice and overseeing the distribution of food and beverage for major sports stadiums. For his second career, he worked as a Health Inspector for Royal Caribbean and Celebrity Cruises, fulfilling his life long dream and passion for adventure by traveling the world professionally.

He was a self-starter, a hardworking man that dedicated himself to getting the job done, who knew his own worth and was always willing to share his knowledge.

John served as the anchor and compass for his family, committed to being involved and present in the lives of his wife, children, and grandchildren. John had a wonderful sense of humor, some would say it was very English but all agreed that it was very infectious. His deep love for all of them will continue to live through all the memories they have made.

He was preceded in death by his parents James Nuttall and Joan Downes Nuttall.

He is survived by his loving wife Linda of forty-seven years, his son Matthew Nuttall (wife Skyler), his daughter Michelle Henrich (husband Nicholas), his grandchildren Hannah, Samantha, Sarah, and Riley, his sister Sue Nuttall, his brother in law Larry Wilson, his sister in law Barbara Lippincott (Karker), his sister in law Patti Rachford (Wally), and many nieces and nephews.

Though John moved on to be with God and is at peace, his unconditional love will live on with his family and friends forever. His presence will be missed deeply for all eternity. (OBJJC2WDWK)
