HUBERT  -  John Edward Waitt, 60, of Hubert, passed away February 8, 2026 at ECU Health in Greenville. Services will be held at a later date in his hometown.

Mr. Waite was born on November 21, 1965 to the late William E. Waitt, Sr. and Barbara Brown Waitt. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Alexis Waitt and brother, William "Bill" Waitt, Jr.

Survivors include his wife, Georgia Waitt; children, James "Jay" Miranda (Jessica), Kayla Waitt (Greg Goodhue), Gina Miranda (Michael Sampson), Nicole Waitt (Spencer Holt), Abigail Waitt (Liam Wood), Sam Hebb, and Madison Waitt (Austin Powell); siblings, Nancy Rosemore (Jeff), Susan Neal, Marian Tzartaczuk (Steve), Douglas Waitt (Christine), and Sarah Berry (Brandon); and several grandchildren and extended family.
