Jacksonville – Johnnie Penny, 76, passed away April 25, 2026 at Premiere Nursing Facility.

Johnnie will be laid to rest as part of a graveside funeral service at 1:00 pm on Saturday May 2, 2026 at the Pine Thicket Cemetery on Venters Lane in Richlands.

Johnnie was preceded in death by his parents, Gladys and Derah Penny; 3 siblings that died in infancy; brothers, Phillip Penny, Bill Penny, and Ernest Penny; sisters, Nina and Faye Penny; brother-in-law, Al Denney; and sister-in-law, Iris Penny. He is survived by his brother, Jimmy Penny; sisters, Betty Garner and Sue Denney; and many loving nieces and nephews.
