"Jordan Peters Skaggs, 30, of Richlands, NC and formerly of Mount Solon, Virginia passed away at her home on July 13, 2014. She was born July 27, 1983.
Jordan graduated from Fort Defiance High School in 2001. She was a devoted mother who poured her whole life into raising and loving her children. She instilled in them her love for the Lord, music, gardening, cooking, and reading. Jordan also had a love for the ocean and hiking in the Shenandoah Valley.
She was preceded in death by her father, Gary Peters; her paternal grandparents, Zera and Lucille Peters and Eddie Coffey.
Survivors include her three children, Zane Peters 7, Alexandra Stowers 5, and Elliana Skaggs 2; her parents, Russell and Melody Coffey; her brother and his wife, Matthew and Karissa Coffey; her paternal grandmother, Jane Coffey; her maternal grandparents, Joe Heatwole, Wayne and Phyllis Chittum.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, August 3rd at 4:30 p.m. at Blue Ridge Church of Christ, 1275 Goose Creek Road, Fishersville, Virginia 22939.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to New Directions Center (emergency shelter for abused women) at P.O. Box 3069, Staunton, VA 24401 or Blue Ridge Church of Christ at 1275 Goose Creek Road, Fishersville, VA 22939."
