JACKSONVILLE - Joseph Norman Roland Caron, 82, of Jacksonville, died Sunday, November 1, 2015 at Onslow Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday at Jones Funeral Home, Jacksonville Chapel with Rev. Daniel Flynn officiating. Burial, with military honors, will follow at Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery.

Mr. Caron was born April 11, 1933 in Lewiston, ME to the late Lucien and Emilie Levasseur Caron. He was preceded in death by his son, Joseph Norman Caron. Mr. Caron was retired US Army Sergeant First Class and was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Jacksonville.

He is survived by his wife, Kimiko Honda Caron of the home; two daughters, Diana Jones and her husband, Randy of Richlands and Elizabeth Fox of Huachuca City, AZ; his sister, Wilda E. Guerrette of Williamsburg, VA; his brother, Gerard E. Caron and his wife, Jeannine of Jacksonville; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
