SNEADS FERRY, NC  -  Joyce M. Carter, 80, passed away Tuesday, December 3, 2019 at Lower Cape Fear Hospice in Wilmington.   Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 PM on Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at Salem Baptist Church in Sneads Ferry, NC.  Burial will follow at Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville, NC.

Mrs. Carter was a member of Salem Baptist Church and a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. She was born August 11, 1939 to the late Mr. and Mrs. W.O. Miles.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Robert L. "Jack" Carter of the home; daughter, Debra Carter Nall and son-in-law, Gary E. Nall of Pooler, GA.   She also has many nieces and nephews and one much loved pet named Gracie Ann.

The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Jones Funeral Home, Jacksonville Chapel.
