Joyce A. Coles, 75, of Jacksonville, NC, passed away peacefully in her home on Monday, July 21, 2025, surrounded by loved ones.

She is survived by her son and his wife, Shawn and Kati Coles; her daughter, Carrie Thompson; and her grandchildren, Ariana Beall, Calli Tritt, and Braxton Coles. She is also survived by one sister, Marsha Lenham.

Joyce was known by all to be a loving, kind, and caring servant who always put others before herself. She lived a selfless, Christ-centered life treating all with love and respect. She cared for others, including the sick, widowed, and homeless with humility and no need for recognition. Upon retiring as a school-teacher, she held a pivotal role in the lives of her grandchildren by caring for and helping to raise each of them. We all have fond memories of her. We all will hold her in our hearts until we see her again in glory. She is, and will continue to be, greatly missed!
