Judith Ann Howard

On August 2, 2026, our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend was called home to be with her Lord and Savior. 

Born on April 24, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Oscar and Bertha Gurganus. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Herbert Guy Howard Jr., with whom she shared a lifetime of love, faith, and service to the Lord.

She is survived by her 2 daughters, Julianna H. White and her husband, Brett White, and Camille L. Pierce and her husband, Jimmy W. Pierce. She leaves behind 5 grandchildren, Chris White, Josh White, Brooke White-Ramsey, Rachel Pierce, Jamie Pierce as well as six treasured great-grandchildren.

She is also survived by her brother, Bobby Gurganus along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

She will be remembered for her unwavering & steadfast faith in the Lord, as well as her kindness and compassion for others. She faced many trials in her life with unsurpassed grace and determination. She was a blessing to all who knew her.

Although our hearts are saddened by her passing, we rejoice in the promise that she has entered her eternal home, free from the earthly burdens & in perfect peace with the Lord for evermore. Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who were blessed to know and love her.
