Julian Jimmie Carter Sr , "Jimmie", 87, of Richlands, NC, passed on March 10, 2026 at Kempton of Jacksonville. Memorial services will be announced at a later date.

Jimmie was born October 20, 1938 in Richlands NC to Rufus Carter and Lizzie Dail Carter. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his siblings Clara, Annie, Bud, George, Vivian, Rufus, Felix and James and his grandson Joshua.

Jimmie is survived by his siblings Jerry and Leda Ray and his children Bob Carter, Kimberley Gatbunton (Bob), Ann Rice (Matt) , JuLeeia Rosenburg (Damen) and JJ Carter JR (Amber).  His grandchildren Daniel, Jessica, Dylan, Jordan, Jake, Justin, Jared, Sadie, Caleb, Kamden, and Payton and great grandchildren Madelyn and Bradley. As well as many nieces and nephews and cousins.
